What
Sensitisation of Equal Opportunities in the City of Solna.
How much
Each appointed employee at the municipality of Solna (almost 20 altogether)
receives SEK 500 each month for working with equal opportunities.
How
Within the municipality of Solna each department has appointed one or
more persons as
"Equal opportunities responsible". They work to raise public
opinion in favour of Gender equality. They educate themselves in order
to share information and support colleagues in their department. The "equal
opportunities responsible" takes initiative to meetings and manifestations
and supports the head of the department in these questions.
Why
This initiative is founded on the consideration that the work towards
a society where women and men have the same opportunities is never ending,
and has to be taken into account in the every day work in the municipality.
Results
The questions regarding equal opportunities are more socially accepted
within
the organisation. Larger awareness of equal rights.
